If you're making brush tips out of scanned images and want to get rid of the white background, you can change the 'Expression color' of the layer to 'Grayscale' (or Monochrome) and click the black box next to the drop-down menu to ensure only the black is visible. I’ll point and click, thanks. The place to change the shortcuts is the “Shortcut Settings” menu, which you can find on a Mac in the upper left corner of your screen under the “CLIP STUDIO PAINT” dropdown. There is a shortcut for the shortcuts. It’ll take four fingers, though: Shift-CMD-OPTION-K. (Of course.).
I just purchased the Surface Dial to use with my Surface Pro 3 (yes, I'm running Win 10 1607)
I got the Wheel to pair no problem and it works, but there is one huge issue. Under the custom tool field where you can assign Keyboard Shortcuts.....the provided drop down is missing quite a few very important keys. For my case specifically the open and close Bracket keys. ' [ ' & ' ] ' are not on the drop down, I can't type them in, and I can't find any way to get those specific keys assigned to the wheel.

Anyone who uses keyboard shortcuts in graphic/art programs like Photoshop, Manga Studio, Clip Studio, Sketchbook, etc... should recognize the open/close Bracket Keys as the universal keyboard shortcuts for Increasing and Decreasing Brush size. Considering the Dial is marketed for the creative/art uses.....this is a rather massive oversight by Microsoft to omit those specific keys from the dial.
Has any Dial user been able to figure out how to get those specific keys assigned to the dial?
Or does anyone from Microsoft itself have any suggestions on how to remedy this?

Using those two specific keys is the whole reason why I got the dial, and without them the Dial is useless for me.
