Installing Sims 3 Package Files. You must also get updates from the creator(s) for any hacks/mods before putting them in the Documents path shown below. Another thing to watch out for, is that if Sims 3 files or Sims 2 package files are installed in the Mods folder, they can keep the game from running. So make sure the custom content you install is for Sims 4. Mods, on the other hand, can keep the entire game from loading, not just affect a part of the game.

    If you're interested in graphics mod like improving shader details, increasing lighting details making the game look prettier etc. You can try:

    FYI ReShade is quite resource heavy so you might drop a few frames depending on your ReShade settings.

  • DrKniFi - thanks, I have been playing sims 2 for ever and have lots of cc from first MTS and secound TSR. I played sims 3 four maybe a year, but it was just to hard to play and drag got way to bad. I also never liked it as well and missed the sims 2. So I decided since sims 4 now has toddlers and was on sale, I bout it and so far like it well enough. Not as good as sims 2 but way better then 3 and so plan to play and enjoy both.

    Try moving your Mods folder to your desktop, then open your game and go into CAS to see if the issue still occurs. If it doesn't then you may have a broken Mod or CC. Slowly add your Mods/CC back into the game. Either individually or in batches, checking to see if the problem occurs each time you add something back.
    Do you use CC eyelashes or makeup? I would check those first.

    i am the same although i am still trying to figure out what i need to make me sim STOP washing dishes in the bathroom sink lol i soo OCD on that because it makes no sense when she is already in the kitchen!! LOL

The Sims 4, the most-recently-released entry in EA's long-running family simulation series, features a strong set of tools for user modifications. And seeing as how this is the Internet we're talking about here, people have already made many strange and wonderful additions to the base The Sims 4. Let's take a closer look at some of the stranger ones hosted on the Sims mod website modthesims.info.

Dude Undies

Apparently the selection of choices for what lies under a man's pants are lacking. There are a few different male underwear mods out there, such as the simple Male Briefs. Coming in different styles for different ages, with a handful of different colors, these briefs allow all the comfort of boxer-briefs with a smaller amount of cloth. You'll be looking sexy walking down the catwalk in these bad boys.

Another amusing male undies mod is known as the Realistic short shorts for males mod. As you can see in the above picture, this mod uh... enhances the look of a man who is wearing short shorts. If you're looking for extra textures, this mod is perfect for you.

One last one in the male underwear department, the Sexy Underwear mod takes the currently available pairs for men and makes them more appealing. Ladies, this one's for you. Grrrowl.

Funny clothes

There's a whole host of hilarious clothes options found on modthesims.info that weren't included in the base game for The Sims 4, mostly because the clothes options feature licensed properties. I've made a quick list of the ones that struck me as the most amusing, but I recommend scrolling through the list of mods to find ones that strike your fancy.

The first one that made me laugh out loud was the Spice Girls 2007-08 World Tour shirt. I'm glad someone went through the trouble of putting this on a shirt, and I'm even happier that they released their creation to the world.

For more fun with cultural references, there's also the Everyday I'm Hufflin' shirt. Maybe I fell in love with this one because I identify with the students of the Badger, or maybe I'm a fan of dumb word-play. Probably a combination of the two.

While some people may actually enjoy this mod, I found it had a hilarious name, so I included it on the list. Dubbed 'Charasmatic Eyebrows' this mod replaces the current option for eyebrows with this new look. You may like it, but when I saw the name, I giggled.

I love this one for its crushing realism. The Teen Careers For All Ages mod allows those who want to live out their fantasy of being a burger flipper well into their golden years. And I just love the man's face in the example photo. He's so proud of his shiny new Burger Hut uniform.

Sims 3 Sims

This is surely just the tip of the iceberg that is to come. With the collective creativity and madness that is the Internet, expect to see more bizarre and wild creations popping up. Until then, I'll be outfitting everyone in my house with Star Trek uniforms.
