Hey there! I've been searching for ages, and have really not found anything...
Is there a HL2 mod that allows for two people to play that doesn't add anything new, and maybe works with EP1 and EP2 as well?
I've literally either found ones that don't work, need HL2:DM (which I don't own and am unsure if I should even get for the CHANCE of one of those mods to work), or add so much stuff that it just doesn't have that original HL2 feel to it anymore.
I know of Synergy, but even in Vintage Mode you get new weapons and some weird new medkit system I ain't fond of.
I know of Obsidian Conflict, but didn't exactly get the game loading to work well on that (and it seemingly adds new content as well).
I've found some Garry's Mod gamemode that is made for HL2 co-op, but it's very buggy and next to nothing works with that.
With HL1, I still am fine with Sven's Co-op. It's easily editable to replace the new sounds and models with the original ones (only problem is the fact there's no music and map changes are a bit odd sometimes too), but for HL2, I have yet to find anything.

Is there something I am missing? Some way to disable the new content in Synergy? Some mod you know of that would be what I'd want?
I really just want to play HL2 and the sequels with a friend without messing everything up so much that the original feel is just gone and the atmosphere's ruined. :c
TL;DR: Does someone know of a HL2 co-op mod that doesn't add any new content to the game (and possibly works for EP1/EP2 too)?

I just finished Portal 2 Coop with a friend and now we intend to go back to the beginnings of the Half Life Universe. We would like to play trough
Half Life Source and Half Life 2 cooperatively but we are not sure if there are well working coop mods out there.

I couldn't check it out myself since I don't own HL Source, yet, so it would be cool if you could share your experiences with that mod (or any other working
